How It Works

Simple step-by-step process to start sending emails from DAT load board:

Install the Chrome Extension

Add Truck Box to your Chrome browser from the Chrome Web Store.

Click Sign in with Google

Authorize the extension using secure OAuth authentication.

Click Send Email

The extension sends an email from your Gmail via the Gmail API.

Important: All actions happen locally in your browser. The extension never stores or shares your Gmail data.

Google OAuth Compliance

Truck Box uses your Google account only to send emails you explicitly authorize.

It complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy and the Limited Use requirements.

Privacy Policy

The Truck Box extension helps you send broker emails from one.dat.com using your own Gmail account via OAuth. We designed it to work locally in your browser and keep data collection to a minimum.

Information we collect

  • No personal data is sent to our servers. We do not run any backend for this extension.
  • Local extension settings. Your name/MC/phone and email templates are stored locally in chrome.storage.local.
  • On-page content you see. The extension reads visible fields on the DAT page (e.g., company email, origin, destination, pickup date) to populate your email template. Parsing happens in your browser only.
  • Google OAuth tokens. Tokens are issued and cached by Chrome via chrome.identity. We do not receive or store your tokens.

How we use information

  • Sending email via Gmail API. Uses https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send only to send the composed email from your Gmail.
  • Quality & troubleshooting. We do not collect analytics or crash reports.
OAuth scopes: gmail.send, openid, email, profile.

Storage & security

  • Local-only settings. Remove anytime (see deletion).
  • Token handling. Tokens go only to Gmail API.
  • No sale or sharing. No third-party sharing.

Data deletion & revoking access

Since no server-side storage exists, requests usually involve revoking Google access and/or uninstalling.

Not intended for children under 13.

We may update this page; we’ll adjust the date above.

  • Purpose-limited: Gmail data is used only to send the email you request.
  • No human access.

If you revoke access, the extension cannot send emails until you reconnect.
